This art object is a cube containing the energy of the elements within. Layers of felted sheep’s wool create a dense and tangible metaphor for the physical world.
On one side of the cube, pure and vibrant colors appear as sky blue and fiery red. This represents a moment of peak vital tension through the active phase of air and fire. On the other side, the same shades appear muted and grey to evoke cooling ashes or a misty morning.
The concept of the work lies in the inseparable coexistence of opposites. Air feeds the flame and fire warms the space even as the brightness fades into grey tones. The soft texture of the wool inside the rigid edges of the cube further emphasizes the fragility of this balance.
