This project is a recreation of a hand-woven bag produced by the Detva company in 1928 in Czechoslovakia. The work was commissioned by a museum based on the only surviving photograph of poor quality.
During the creation of the piece, the pattern was transferred with maximum precision for full correspondence to the century-old original. Particular attention was paid to the selection of colors to preserve the authentic appearance of the museum exhibit. Natural wool was used for weaving as the primary material, along with genuine silk for the lining.
The result of this painstaking reconstruction allows us to see a lost object of material culture in its original form.
