The original architectural blueprint of Saint Sophia Cathedral, hand-stitched onto linen, forms the structural DNA of this piece. Layered over these precise lines is an interior mural element, recreated with hand-dyed threads to match the exact hues and authentic character of the ancient frescoes.
The composition culminates in the presence of living rhizomes: sections of the embroidery are literally overgrown with wheat roots. This fusion of architectural rigor, hand-craft, and organic matter transforms a man-made masterpiece into a breathing entity, inseparable from the energy of the earth.
